我对星星的兴趣
我小时候,我有很多普通的兴趣:
- 星星和外层空间
- 动物的生活
- 恐龙
很多孩子有这个兴趣。
一天,我大约九岁,我的老家上有日食。我很激动。我等着月亮来到地球和太阳中间,见证那次日全食。但很遗憾,最后我一点日食都没看到,因为天阴了。
两年以后,我再看看日式,但是天气在不合作我。
我对星星的兴趣越来越少。父母不喜欢熬夜去外面,不让我熬夜去外面一个人看星星。我找到别的爱好,别的兴趣。
我大概11岁,我有一个最大意思。我的想法是,用很多磁铁来产生免费的能量。 我的想法不对,但是我不知道。我没有钱,所以我不可能做了。不如做了,我开始学物理。我想要证明我的想法是对的。虽然我学物理发现我的想法不对,但是发现屋里有兴趣。我喜欢学自然法律和科学。化学和生物学都学一个人不容易,但是物理学一个人太好了。我只有书和耐心。
我学物理,我了解到有四种力:强力、弱力、电磁力和重力。我觉得重力很兴趣。虽然大部分人认识重力,物理家不了解重力。爱因斯坦的相对论描述了,但是相对论和量子力学不同意。
Need more space to talk about how black holes were interesting because they were “pure gravity”, and were able to be a way to understand gravity better. That my interest in stars was not rekindled by the beauty of the night sky, but because the sky contained these “pure” gravitational – but invisible – objects. That the only way of observing black holes was indirectly, through the influence they exert on regular stars.
So while I appreciate the beauty of the night sky, it was really a love of deeply understanding the fundamentals that drew me back to the stars, after that childlike wonder had been killed off from it being too inconvinient for family life to revolve around.
